To teach ELLs the months, you can make a deck of cards, using a computer to print index cards (or just handwrite them), 4 cards for each month. Center the name of the month in large print and use a corner for the abbreviation. You might want to print in colors to match the seasons. Then join the students in playing a game of Go Fish and watch the fun begin!
